 Goddess, Spellbound

 Bitten by Romance *Hot Pick*

"This book was a breath of fresh air. I loved the transformation from clumsy, shy heroine to strong and confident descendant of a goddess. Sandy/Sanura wasn't ready to take every crazy idea as fact but she didn't hang onto her denial past the point of common sense either. Iker, the hero, was magnificent. He had all the insecurities you would expect of someone transplanted from another time and place but none of the idiocy.

The author did an excellent job of showing not telling. The paranormal element was well done and the ancient Egyptian pantheon integrated with present day in a believable way."

Romancing the Book *Recommended Read*
"I was captivated by this story just from its blurb. I am a very big music fan and did watch Rock of Love so I found it very interesting to see how an author could make a story from that concept. And Cate Masters did it perfectly! One of the things I am very fond of when I read is the imagery authors try to portrait and Cate does it beautifully. The way she describes the scenery of the house, the hills and sand gives you a perfect picture in your mind.
The chemistry, tension and conflicts between the characters were written exceptionally well, made me keep turning the page to see how they were going to resolve some of their issues. It had just the right amount of steamy scenes as well, did not feel thrown in just for the sake of having one like some other stories I have read. Anyone who grew up in the 80’s will appreciate the music references in this book as well, had be nodding my head yes in more than one occasion lol."

Harlie's Book Reviews *Recommended Read*
I don’t want to give too much in the way that I liked how Ms. Masters plotted her story but I will say that it flowed and I got caught up in everything that Mac and Norah were doing to build something great and also watching them go from friends/boss/employee to lovers.  The tent camp scenes were heartbreaking knowing that the camps were real.  Those scenes added an authencity to the story and made it much more layered.
The end scenes were some of the best in the book.  Secrets from Norah’s past are revealed and they are sweet to say the least.  I will have to say that while I loved the book, I want more of Mac’s and Norah’s story.  I know that authors don’t like to hear that too much, but I would.  Did they make it in the aftermath?  Did true love prevail?  In mind they did but I completely fell in love with this book and its characters.  And you will too.
